    Hey Mermentau guess it's all about the fun these dog days of summer and not about the catching. I'm a little bit on the sick side at the moment and
    hadn't had a chance to go try in awhile. Having problems with the lympnodes swelling in my throat. Fixing to go do a cat scan and see what it is. See you on the water soon.

    If you got to be sick it's not a time missing much. There's so much good medical care in this area that they will get you straitened out and back in action.

    Hear that the mullets are on top sucking air.Have you noticed if that is only on main river or also going on in oxbows.

    Couldn't tell for sure what kind of fish they were, but they were feeding on the algae. I don't think mullet can suck air, and from what I saw on the Humminbird it looked like the oxygen was good in the upper few feet. I think it's just a waiting game for conditions to finish improving.
