    Default Hey Y'all...what's up?

Have I missed the bite down there...or has it started yet? We're thinking about spending some quality time in the bayou soon. I sold the Ranger about 8-10 months ago...didn't like the open lakes around Tulsa. We sold the Tulsa house ad built a new one in Mission TX...about a mile north of the Rio Grande River.

Just picked up new Carolina Skiff JVX20 with a 90 HP E-TEC. I'll have the trolling motor and Lowrance on it next week. Then I'll be ready to fish!

How's fishing around Lake Verret? I miss the old stomping grounds.

Gary is that you? Hope you've been well. Spring bite over and summer pattern starting to show up. As for a Lake Verette is concerned I can't say but I haven't heard much about it and the bayou Corne area for a while. So you're moving closer. In Mission you are just a little over an hour from Lake Falcon which is noted for it large mouth bass, and Mexican banditos. Be careful.

Hi Gary.....good to hear from you and hope all is well with you two.....Verrett is not what it used to be.....water right now is very high.....fishing in that whole area has slowed down enough that I mostly fish Henderson now for the last 5 years......and the water there is just now falling from a very high level......hoping the catch picks up there soon.......

What made you move to the valley Gary? That dry air is excellent there.

Hey Gene...haven't been to Falcon yet, but may scout it out in the next week or two. Never made it to the orange grove...may have to check it out.

Bruce...I remember that trip! That was a good little boat...could go most anywhere with it. Can't wait to get the Carolina Skiff rigged and take her out.

Think Verette will be any good when the water goes down? Say hi to Didi for us!

Randy...we have always liked south Texas...and it's warm here in the winter! This is a gated 55+ community...read "party animals" and always something going on. Very nice area.

Bruce what's the bluegrass scene like there? I've always heard the valley communities are very welcoming to players/jammers for entertainment. I always plan any road trips with jamming in mind and usually bring my mandolin.
