    Default Find-A-Rod....For RMGeorge....

RMGeorge, saw your post about losing your spinning rod overboard........This devise is a must for everyone's tackle box.....just attach to your line like a plug and drag the button....I have saved a few rods & reels with this.....they come in two sizes and this is the bigger one......available at Academy (I believe)......the copper wires are flexible like a ground wire in a 12/2 wire in your house....... bend them all down flat for storage......

Is that what those are for?! I always wondered what the purpose of the wires on the weights were for. Learn something new every day! Thanks Bruce!

Thanks, Bruce. I'll look for those next time I go to town. Hope I find a better rod than than the one I lost.

I learned a great idea at the Tennessee camp. Mitch of Arkie lures keeps a fish stringer in his boat for this. The type made of metal with the clips. Just open all the clips and tie to a small rope and use it to drag for your rod.

You sound like me...I just cant justify buying a new rod & reel when I have a perfectly good one that works, even though its old and not really perfect... But not too much cryin if it goes over the side...Time to go shoppin!!!
