Any help is appreciated. I am just getting back into fishing again, me and a buddy are thinking of going fishing this weekend. Curious what some good spots are within an hour of Lafayette for catching crappie/bream.
Thanks

I can't answer that but wanted to welcome you to the forum. Henderson could be a good bet but not now. Water is way too high and the fish are scattered. Bayou Amy, might be better or north of Lafayette are Millers Lake and Chicot. There is also Lake Martin but like Chicot it can be a hard nut to crack.

Henderson. The spillway. They gonna get better when it slow falls.
I'm also looking to wet a hook, If the weather acts right might hit false point or maybe some bar pits down the leeve.
Fausse point, auto correct got me.
Thanks guys, we might give Henderson a try if the weather looks good. I've been thinking about trying to go bank fishing at lake martin after work, never got around to doing it.
We went this past Saturday before the thunderstorm rolled through, the water was super muddy.
I'd be interested in a lake Martin report. Saw on yak forum last week they did good. My wife has been at me to bring the boat up there to chase birds.
They were catching bream in Henderson in the buttlarose canal. You can dock your boat in the canal and start fishing from there.
