Default Black Bayou Hosston at flood stage

According to the USGS Black Bayou Hosston is over one foot into flood stage.
his means that there is just a little more than three feet of water running over the spillway. Hopefully this will cause a lot of the salvinia to get flushed over the dam. The last time it got this high we got rid of a tremendous amount of it. With more rain on the way, it will be interesting to see how high it gets.A few docks might get flooded but I do not think any camps or houses will get water in them.

That sounds like a good deal Charliee. Too bad you can't move all that stuff toward the current and let it go.

Lake Bisteneau has been rising for almost 2 weeks now,I'm guessing 18 to 24 inches over the spillway right now........water is very muddy on the north end....

I talked to my uncle today and he told me the water on backside of the spillway was almost even with the water on the lake side. Plus the water appears to still be rising.

The Red River here in Shreveport is really high right now as well. The Sam's Town casino coffer cell is under water, and looked like it was near the base of the building behind Dupont's fish market. Sure hope we have a dry spell soon so nothing floats away.

It is dropping right now. But It looks like we might get more rain the middle of the week.I ust hope this high water is flushing out the salvinia.
