    Default Sneakypete Strikes!

Had the feeling this AM. Hit my spot at around 1300, and for an hour they bit. Then they slammed the door! Blue and white "Fluff Butt" around 8 inches below a VOSI (Float) and CLOSE to the bank. Missed a few and lost two. Oh well...
BUT, ol sneaky did catch a few sacs - YEA!!!
And I won't say anything about the spot excName: DSCN0440.jpg

Good job, Pete! Are they spawning already down there? The water temp here is still about 50 degrees.

Well Pete I went Saturday and tried to clean them out and caught exactly what you did. 3 and on the small side too. I'm done there until late Fall. When I get over the crud I'm going to start hunting spawning fish over in Western river/bayou swamps.

I'm sick today and glad to be sick. I thought yesterday that I had passed the point of being able to go in the yak. I thought it was old age and not enough sleep, but the fever today let me know that I can get better.

Something changed in the ponds since the last trip. On the humminbird there is a thick line of grey specks along the top. I don't know what that means exactly, but I had been doing pretty good until that change. The season is starting to change for sure.

Congratulations Sneakypete. Throw some taters in with them and you got supper.

Terry - Undeveloped eggs in one female - nothing in the other. The third was a male. Guess the warm sunny weather had 'em shallow.
Mermentau - Sorry you got the ghonkus. Hopefully you'll be able to get back at 'em in a short while!
Thanks Pastor - But Blue Runner "Cajun Creamy Style" white beans and rice rather than taters!
