Not judging here, but when I catch a bass anywhere near that size, it makes me feel really warm inside to watch her swim off to fight another day...heck she probably lived through Ike...anyways, that was an awesome catch, especially in a yak, congrats!

Well, I respectfully disagree with the concept of catch and release on so many levels, not trying to poke an argument but I feel that more fishermen should really dig into what helps and hurts the fishery as a whole... Not every little fish released will grow up to be a big bass and not every large bass removed causes harm to the fishery, we just need to redefine the true meaning of management and realize that selective harvest includes taking fish home.

Hang on, all I said is it makes ME feel good to turn loose large bass. I completely agree with catching the heck out of fish and eating them, and I completely agree with people doing whatever they want to do with the fish THEY landed in accordance with the law. That's it....

I did turn the bigger one loose till a buddy showed me how to grill them. Garlic butter is the trick!

I understand, which is why I said I wasnt trying to pick an argument with you.. I was basically stating that I, myself, do not agree with catch and release because it has shown to do more harm than good in fisheries. I never directed anything towards you. My apologies if you felt that way.
