I made it out to Beau Bayou Saturday afternoon. All I caught was 5. I had made up my mind that no matter what I caught it would be catch and release. So that's what I did. Two of them were nice size the rest were small.
Caught them on red and chart. tight-lining in about 4 foot of water.

One guy told me that the Thursday prior his boat had 200 fish. I told him that's why they don't have anymore come Saturday because of people like him. Could not understand what he said after that!

The water was pretty but on the rise. Given that and the fact that the area was probably overfished the week before I guess I did OK with my five.

Not to bad Deacon, from what I have heard you are lucky to be catching any in the basin lately.

You might want to keep them goo so that when you get in a conversation with one of them "guys" you got somekind of peace offering! I bet you really wouldn't be able to understand him then!

What are you going to do with 200 fish? To many to clean and to many to eat. Just my thought.
