fishing on Poverty Point

Anyone have a report on the fishing a poverty point, thinking about going next week.

Since no one has replied, I'll put in my two cents. Even though I know of a friend who had a good trip a few weeks ago, I have to say if you have fished Poverty in the past and are expecting it to be the same great fishing hole, you are most probably in for a big letdown. My last three trips have been bummers. The water color looks good, the schools of shad are plentiful, and the crowds are gone......I have reluctantly taken Poverty off my list of lakes to fish because I truly believe that due to the age of the lake and over harvesting, the fish population is severely depleted.����������
