Buster...I have taken google maps and added a white line on most of the boat lanes I am familiar with.....still, there is always danger of stumps or floating debris.....general rule is, stay in the middle of the lane and away from stumps on the sides....also, if you get off the lanes, idle only or trolling motor...it can get shallow quick....
There are two main East/West boat lanes....one is under the interstate 10 bridges, between the two.....the other is about 200 yards north of the interstate running parallel with and on the south side of a big power line....
always stop and idle thru any crossing of north/south and east/west lanes....
If anyone wants the boat lane maps, PM me your email address....

I just did a google search for Cajun Palms RV park and found out that it's a very nice set up. It also has cabins to rent. If you look at it on Google earth it show what a great layout it is. Seems to be first class. Anyone have any experience with spending some time there?

Gene: Really nice campground. All spots are cement and there is a huge pool with a sit down bar on the pool. You are basically walking distance from a great restaurant called Crawfish Town and I believe they may even come pick you up on a golf cart to bring you if necessary. They also have covered parking spots but those are limited. Book early if you plan to go as it is a real popular spot.
Thanks Chuck, I might look into staying there for the Henderson gathering.
