    Default Palmetto Park

Managed 14 sacs today, but only one lake produced. Fish were out in the middle and caught them tight line with Bobby G. The ditches are getting fairly choked up with veg, but the lakes are open. Any body can go there even if no kayak. They have a few canoes to rent. I'm staying away from Saturday when the weather is nice. To many people with loud music on shore. Getting old and cranky. Can't take blaring music when I'm after quiet.Name: IMG_0384.jpg

Vermilion Parish a few miles below Abbeville. It has 3 little lakes connected by canoe trails. It's paddle only. The park has some nice rv hookups and pavilions for get-togethers.

For many years for catfish, but never for crappie. Never was really fond of any part of the Vermilion from the Bay to the airport in Lafayette. JR could make it work probably as he is used to some tide action.
