There is usually someone there at the Gate till 9-10 P.M. that can get you a key to your Cabin.

hey gene, not trying to contradict Maxwell, but when I called earlier this week, the lady told me that on Thursday they leave the gate house at 5pm. so I think you have a couple of options. you can call and see if they will just leave your key on the island of your cabin, or you can call them and tell them that a friend will pick up your key for you and leave it on the island. I have the number to the guard shack at the gate. 318.368.2086. if anyone needs me to pick up your key I will be happy to do so. but you will have to call me. not gonna be back on the computer til sunday. my cell is 318.272.8069 bout to head east.

I saw on the web site that the attendant closes the guard shack at 5 PM but the gate is open until 9 PM on Thursday and 10 PM on Saturday. Thanks for the phone number Doc, I'll give them a call shortly and see what I can arrange.

I just talked to the gate keeper and she said she would leave my key in the cabin and put the light on the porch. Done deal.
