Man, until it gets cold and STAYS cold, you sound like you are on the right path. I think they will still be scattered until the cold weather stays and then just fish the deep channels, they should be stacked up in them then.
So. If you were going to fish this Saturday…. Where would you expect to find them and how would you fish for them?
Since I don’t know what I’m doing. I’d start by asking you guys, cause y’all are good like that.
Left on my own… I’d probably start deep looking for structure and work my way shallow until I kinda had a handle on what depth the fish might be using. After that, I’m just throwing Hail Mary’s!

Your lake have a defined channel? If so I'd start on structure near deep water off the channel

I am seeing a lot of shad schooling on the surface on Concordia behind my house. They were schooled deep on Louie a few weeks ago. So look for structure or shad schools over deeper water. I have been working, so last personal info is Larto. They were on the bottom in deep water then, as far as I could tell.
Let us know what you find, please.
