Default Black Bayou in Hosston Reports?

Do any of you have any current fishing reports from Black Bayou in Hosston?
We are planning to give it a try Saturday morning.

I heard from Charliee today about this lake. Right now the water level is dropping and the fishing
is not good. We're gonna give it a try anyway, but won't be too disappointed if we have no luck.

Well, we tried Black Bayou in Hosston this morning from first light to 9:30 and had no luck at all. We fished the area west of channel markers 17-21 with jigs, shiners, plastic worms and crank baits and didn't get a single bite except for one very small bass. Water depth was 4.5 to 5.5 feet and temp was 86 degrees. Only five other trailers were parked at the public launch when we left.

Sorry to hear that but that was the chance you were taking. At least you got on the water.

I hate you did not do any better than that. After thinking about it, I would suggest finding the edge of the channel and fishing deeper. As hot as the water is on the surface I bet they are hanging out in deeper cooler water.
I am ready for some rain and cooler weather.
