Had always used rubber bands or bread ties ----- but saw these and thought they would work with a lot less trouble --- BUT --- the price is 2.99 for a pair (use for 1 rod). Seen them on the Southern Pro sight.

Before you invest in anything, try a couple of your wife/girlfriend's hair clips. They work fine for me.

I use the small Velcro strips that you can from the big box stores.

Yes, I use something almost identical except they are from Bass Pro Shop, and they have a sponge type cushion against the hard plastic. Same great price, good quality. I guess if I had a couple dozen poles, it would cost me a small fortune but right now I only have four, so I still have a few coins in my piggy bank and I don't have my girl friends hair clips stuffed in my pockets. Then again I don't have a girl friend either. lol , And the wife doesn't use them, so I would have to buy them too.

Similar to that I'm using those little bungie like rings girls fix their pony tails with. Free if you catch them not looking.

I use two pieces of soft solder cut about 6" long and wrap one at the top and one around the handle, nice and soft, holds good, and easy to throw in my shirt pocket when not using..... and cheap if you have a roll of old solder around.....

I use them. Bought 6 pair. Was using Velcro strips, but these are easier and quicker. Highly recommend them.
