Default A little salt over the summer break

This summer break has been one to remember. I finished up my first year teaching and bought my first kayak in late May/early June. I spent a few trips becoming acquainted with fishing from the yak. Talking to a few guys at P&P in lafayette, I decided to make a few saltwater trips before school started back up and I didn't have quite as much free time as I would like. I'll post pictures instead of boring you guys with walls of text.

Hi Peter, I'd say you did a good job on your part. No arguing with the results that's for sure. I love the size of the flounders and man look at that trout. Congrats on a job well done. Good luck with the coming year and may you find some rec time on weekends.

Nice mess there Peter! You are over in my neck of the woods there, glad you were able to get on some. I haven't had time to go after them. I do have a buddy from Opp. that has been begging me to go yaking (fishing from a kayak) with him. I think I almost have my wife talked into buying a couple of them after strolling around in them in Alaska. lol

How big was the speck from west cove?

All fish were caught from my kayak! =D

The spec measured in at 26.25 in. I didn't get a chance to weigh it.

Hey Peter I know you are a dedicated teacher, but remember you have a responsibility to your kayak. You got to make some trips during the school season too. Kids will make you nuts if you don't.
