Well folks, the packers come today to start packing up the house as the Air Force moves us to the next fishing hole in Omaha, NE. I don't know when they will pack the computer, so this may be my last post for a while! I've already carefully packed up my rods. I went to BPS in Bossier City and they gave me a bunch of the cardboard rod shipping tubes to protect my rods from the evil packers and movers. I think they broke four last move! It sure has been fun here, and I've met some great folks that I now count as lasting friends. My last fishing hole in Montana was for rainbows and brown trout and walleyes, but I sure learned a bunch here on catching crappie! Thanks to all that showed me the ropes and shared a boat, a shiner bucket and a plate of fillets with me. I won't say goodbye, but see you next time around!

Only need three more years before I can think like a fish.
Wish you didn't have to go but I applaud you for doing it. Thanks for what you do. When you do get settled, I hope you still are a regular on the LA forum.

Don't know if your a hunter at all, but if you are your probably moving to one of the most amazing whitetail hunting area's in the world. I am sure that there will be plenty of fish to tug on your line there and even more new friends to make!
Thank you for the service that you give to our country, Even if our country is slap crazy at times your dedication and sacrifices are appreciated.
Make sure you tell all them yankee's how great it is to suck on a crawfish head, and how amazing the food, people, and fishing is down here.....

You might want to make a wooden crate to put those rods in. When the Navy moved me they repacked again in large plywood crates that were handled by Forklifts. We didn't have that much stuff . But they broke more than they shipped safely, and boxes were missing. I couldn't prove what was missing. Take Pictures. Good luck finding a new Fishing hole in your new back yard.
Good luck Lynden in your new home. May the fish be active and may your plate be full. I hope you meet as nice a bunch as you've met here and that they are just as generous of their time and info. Thanks for serving and I salute you a farewell.

I was stationed in Montana for 7 years and was tired of catching rainbows. I do miss the amazing scenery there though. I love the fishing here in Louisiana!
Thanks for your service I hope you have a great time where ever you are stationed.
Thank you for the service. Good luck and keep us posted.
Thanks for joining us Lynden and for your service. Keep in touch.
