Lake Norfork info

[FONT="Tahoma"][COLOR="Blue"]Just looking for some info from any of you crappie experts on Lake Norfork in north central Arkansas near Mountain Home. My daughter went there strictly as a visitor and said this lake was like 60 feet deep off the pier of her cabin. Everything I could see on it on the internet was that it is a very clear lake, and noted for brown trout mostly, and a few black crappie. Steve and I are thinking of going up there in early November for a mini vacation over a weekend and maybe some crappie fishing. Just wanted to know if any of you had heard anything on it.

Fishingal Norfork is kinda slow on Crappie right now. Been doing fair fishing
at night under lights. And yes it is a very clear lake, expecially the closer
to the dam you get.

Since you are a native of MO., how is the crappie fishing up there in late Oct. or Nov.? That's when we plan to go there.

I just started fishing again after many years and I am not sure how the
fishing will be in the fall and winter but I am going to find out. So I
guess I can't answer your question, hopefully someone else can

Check with Darryl Morris on the Arkansas board. I think he used to guide up there before moving down south to guide. He is a great guy who is always willing to help anyone out.
