I was there a couple of weeks ago in Lanan Bay and did pretty good considering the wind was about 30mph.so we had to stay in the cove and the bay.the water is still around 163 to 164 I think.I don't have a whole lot info other than that to give other than try to find some brush piles if you can and fish the warfs and piers maybe!!if the wind is not too bad try under the Pendelton Bridge!!

    good luck!!

I agree. I have been going once a month since January staying at the SRA campground at San Migual. Wind blowing hard each time, so I stayed off the main lake. Fishing the piers are next to impossible with the current water level. I did okay in the stump fields on shinners and electric chicken marabou jigs in 10-12 FOW. I am going again on the 25th. Pull cranks this time. The bream are tearing up the crickets. Good luck!

man Tracker I was about to say I'll see ya up there but just realized that I have to work that weekendDoh
unless I can get someone to cover for me!TB and everyone else I'm sure needs a lot of rain to get the lake back up where it belongs!!and it seems the wind may be subsiding a little.
hope you do well on your next trip!!

This may not be what you're wanting, but I'll pass it on.
For a long time I had wanted to take a guided sac-a-lait trip on Toledo Bend.
I scheduled a trip the first week of June with Living The Dream guide service, the guys name is JT Thompson.
    It's a $100.00 per person, minimum 4 person.
We fished over brush piles and caught 92 huge sacs.
From what I see, if you don't have access to brush piles it might be difficult, and If you find some piles and fish them they might be someone's stash so be aware if someone rolls up on you while your fishing.
If you think there isn't a God, you better be right!

Thanks. The wind on that big lake makes it feel like the Gulf sometimes . Since I fish by myself most of the time, my new i-pilot has worked wonders. My wife only goes on the boat on calm days, fair weather temps, and no snakes in the water - which means she hardly goes at all!

We went to Toledo Bend Memorial Day weekend and the wind was terrible. We fished the coves and caught some early, but after the sun came out, we couldn't get a bite. They must be moving to deeper water. Hopefully you can get out in the stumps now that the wind has died down. Good luck to you!
