How do you guys rig for Bream? I use a long shank bream hook with a split shot about four inches above the hook and a small cork about 18 inches above the hook, baited with nite crawlers.

with crickets.
I use a true cork cork, one of the cheap brown ones and as light a weight as possible and at least 4 inches high. I also use a smaller hook that can be concealed. Most of where I fish the fish are skittish and in clearish water and that cork resembles a cypress cone, usually use an ultralight also. Right now those tent worms that are on the tupelos and sweetgums right now are teh best most free bait there is, get a cricket can full of those and hang on.
Bell sinker tied to line. Loop tied about 5" up. Hook attached to loop. Profit.
Small split shot, bream hook, 2-4 lb test on ultralight. Rod and reel--no cork.
There's nothing like feeling that THUMP...FISH ON
I always use a black popeye jig with a wax worm, with or without a small bobber....Thumbs Up
A popeye jig is made by Cabin Creek bait company and can be found on-line. Just google it under "popeye jig" and it will show you the jig. The jig is just a 1/32 oz. lead head with hair or feathers attached. There are also other makers of this type of jig. I always use a wax worm attached because a wax worm is hard to get off the hook and also, the bream love the smell of the worm. I also use this set up when vertical jigging for crappie. When jigging for crappie, I use the 1/16 oz model...
