Sorry to hear Tbone. I caught 28 yesterday, all males in 7fow fishing 3 feet deep. I missed landing several others before getting my net. Went today to the same place and caught 12 all females, and full of eggs.
Went to Stowe Creek landing this morning and fished a couple of hours. Tried three places and caught 2. There were two W&F boys at the landing doing a creel study and fishermen survey (at first I thought they were enforcement agents and felt a bit smug since I went and got both of my boat trailers inspected yesterday). They specifically asked if I was satisfied with fishing in the state and did I have any suggestions on how to improve fishing, on D'Arbonne especially. So it looks like they do try to get fishermen's input on creel limits and such. They also said they had seen very few white perch come in today.

Charter, care to share the general area you were fishing in? I tried around Terral Island and a couple places in Stowe Creek.
I tried Terral Island and Bear Creek yesterday after they slowed down, and didn't get a bite. I haven't been in Stowe Creek. I'm fishing in the vicinity of the Spillway, I live on the Darbonne side of the spillway. I have been catching them by my house.
Caught 30 this morning between 6 and 8. Gave two older men six fish,so they could enjoy them as much as I will. Fished every jig I had plus the 3 poison jigs I had with no luck. Caught everyone on shiners. Hopefully this will help everyone else, that hasn't been as fortunate as I have.
We did creel surveys on blacklake all last year... We were supposed to this year too but our division lines changed and black lake is in the Toledo Bend's district now. I supposed they'll be conducting them
