    Default Bayou Black


    Need advise on some spots to fish bream & goggle around Bayou Black. Not asking for anyone's honey holes. Just point me in the right direction. Any help would be appreciated.

    If ya leaving Bob's....right outta the launch and when ya get to the Intercoastal, hang a right. Go to the pipeline and turn left. If ya have a map, or googlemaps.com, find the schoolboard canal. Fish any and all canals down the pipeline. There's the toilet bowl, the camp, the eagle...most aren't named on maps, just by word of mouth.

    Don't take the view count personally eelcat. I read it, but have no idea where you're talking about since I'm in NW LA. I'm sure that happes a lot to posts. Hope you find the gills though and have a ball!

    Where exactly is Bob's Marina? Google Earth puts Bayou Black along I 55 between Maurepas & Ponchartrain???? Is that where you are talking about?

    Bob's Marina is on Highway 182 between Houma and Gibson. There's also a landing called Cannon's which is closer to Houma while Bob's is nearer to Gibson. Any of the canals that lead off of the Intracoastal Canal between Houma and Morgan City can provide you with some great summer fishing. I usually fish the Orange Grove canals which are closer to Cannon's landing or using the free launch in Houma.
