finally got a chance to get out to Cross Lake. I didn't get on the water until around 1pm and could only stay out a couple of hours. A few of my "spots" were occupied, but one of them was holding a few quality fish. My son and I caught these in about 6ft of water on silver minnows. I lost one about this size...I think I'm almost over it now! :-) These were the biggest of the bunch. Forgive the heads of me and my son being cut off. I attempted to change the image file size and cut part of the image out...you can see the important stuff...the crappie!!
Hey, renvette...man, that's some respectable crappie. Bet you and your son had some good times yesterday! Keep up the good work! I might run into you and your son on Cross when I can get on the lake. Don't fish it often, but it's a good lake for crappie, and close too. Best of luck to you and your son, glad to see you're getting him interested in fishing. Be some good memories as time passes......
