    Default Bayou Benoit crappie

Made a day of it yesterday at Benoit. Took a while, but with the help of a commecial fisherman I was pointed in the right direction. Fish were in the Bayou Benoit canal close to where it intersects the river. Not that many but all good, solid fish. Kept 6 there, then thanks to the kindeness of a friend, more directions, I ran down the river for another 8 keepers. Thanks SJCRC. (spelling?) Great day on the water, good people and the spirit of sharing. Fish were about two feet down and were partial black/chart., and my favorite gray head, silver body and gray tail. Good fishing to all and Merry Christmas.

Sounds like some good Christmas dinner. Congrats on the good day and a good catch.

Congrats on the catch and thanks for the report.... That's one of the things I like about crappie fishing, almost all of the crappie fishermen are more than willing to help you out if they can.
You can't fish with a hung line!
