    Default Spillway

Left work early and went to the Belle River Landing. Put in about 3pm and headed to the Old River area. Nothing but dead/black water. Went thru the zig zag and on to the Reed canal still finding dead/ black water. Went on to Big Pigeon and the water was improving but still not right. Went on out to the lake and found better water and the fish were there. Left them biteing

Blue and white on a 1/32 minnow head, around 6' in 10' of water. I tight line and they would hit it on the fall. Some of the bigger fish weighed just over a pound. They seem to bite better when the sun started to set, but the skeeters came out and I had enough for a fry.

I fish with a Slaters and a Salters Jigging Pole. Don't tell Mr. Salters, but I use my Slaters the most. Tight line. I will use a cork sometimes.

I use 20/20 Zebco spincast to swim a twirl tail jig when I find the fish suspended. This is usally in heat of the summer.
