    Default Just a thought

I was just thinking (which in my case is VERY DANGEROUS! and some would say not possible!) that with all the post wanting to know about this lake or that lake that we ALL might want to take into consideration what people go through to make reports. I have noticed that alot of people coming on asking for reports but either don't post any of thier own or don't tell us how they did when they went. I know there are alot of newer members that will ask sometimes and that is ok but give us the consideration of posting a report when you go. I do understand that you don't want to travel long distances without knowing some kind of fishing report. I guess I have just noticed alot of people wanting reports but not many fishing reports being posted, all this will do is get the people that are being considerate enough to post what they are catching to stop making reports and that will not benefit ANY OF US! I said all that to say this.....PLEASE give reports when you go, whether good or bad. Just my 2 cents:o

Dwyane, I was thinking the same thing the other day.. and another thing that we don't see, there are lots, don't know how many, but lots that are not members that just come on here to get reports and basically use the site to their benifit without offering anything to the people that have been feeding them information. There are also lots of members that have created accounts and do the same thing.. some without a single post.
I am gonna try and get with Ed and see if he can block the viewing if you are not a member, and suspend accounts with less than a certain number of post per month.

Join the site and participate. Come out of hiding.

Another thing that has been brought up via pm's, it would be nice to get posts/reports what are current rather than a week or two later. I have seen it more on other boards than this one, someone will make two or three trips and do real well, and then do a post telling or showing what they done two weeks ago when the fish were biting and are now not. I enjoy all posts with reports and such, but it's always better if they are current.

I've agreed with this ever since I been on here. People asking daily for info about this place or that, but never giving results from their trips, like Dwayne said "good or bad." Johnny I would be hesitant about people having to post a number of post a month, cause of work or certain situations in their lives. I'm not fishing near what I'm used to, but it's not because I don't want to go, but more that I can't right now for different reasons.

Skipper, I thought about that, but I also thought that even if they are not fishing, they are coming to the site and reading the post. It wouldn't kill them to tell someone Congrats or Thanks for the report, or Good luck on your trip.... It wouldn't necessarily have to be a fishing report. Just a little something to show some activity on their account.

I agree with what's being said,it's only fair.BTW Shadow,I went to Bundick Tues.,no luck.Wind was blowing us around, and we forgot the anchor.Saw 1 other boat fishing by the control structure with shiners, they hadn't caught either. We may go back Sat.to take advantage of the warm weather.

    Hey Slab -
Sorry the trip to Bundick's didn't work out. Were you all able to find those 20 to 25-foot deep channels - and work them in that wind?

Sorry guys. I am one of those guys Johnny is talking about. I have not been fishing since last summer but I do get on here and see how you guys are doing. I will definitely start letting yall know I am here. As a matter of fact I am fixing to start fishing Cypress pretty hard in the next couple of weeks beings I live 5 min down the road and I will keep yall informed. I am ready to see what it feels like to put a big mess of fish in my new boat. Sorry guys.
