I picked the 20&21 November simply because i teach school and these dates work best for me. the 27&28 November are the day and two days after thansgiving. I didn't pick any dates in december simply because that is getting too close to christmas.

Nice date selection doc. For the 4th option...I prefer David Beaird's over LJS...their fish is too greasy!

Hey, us guys from down south know what good catfish is, that's why we eat at Middendolfs. Y'all Yankees need to try it. Not a fast food joint or a chain, just one at Manchac sitting on the water.

pastor, we normally all stay at the state park on the bernice hwy. but everyone just kinda goes and fishes whatever spot they want. i know last year the lake was down, and a bunch of guys went toward the dam in the channel and some fished more up the lake. the water was so low that there were some spots that we couldnt fish. i think the biggest numbers came from down toward the dam.

we would love for you to join us. be watching the sticky thread and im sure we will have lots more info to come.

I look forward to meeting those who fish the get together. I am definetly planning on fishing unless something gets in the way. As a pastor, I never know what may happen or when. I read somewhere that they are planning on dropping the lake again this year and are going to open the spillway next week. However, I have not been able to confirm this.

hey, i just called the state park on darbonne to see how booked up they were for the cabin, and the guy told methat they didnt do the reservations at the state park anymore. they use a website to do all their reservations. the website is Campgrounds and Camping Reservations - ReserveAmerica. so when we get decided on a date, yallcan use this website to get a place to stay. u can even see the cabin number on the sites.

anyway--just thought i would share this info.
