Why a fall gathering and not a winter one?
Catch and Release: Catch the slabs and Release the little'uns
Last year it was a week or two later than this one, and I was so cold I couldn't feel my nose running! Might be in November, but the potential for 'winter' is definitely there!
I think the Winter one is usually at Larto in January isn't it? Either way, it's a fun time to go fishing!
Last year I feel and several others felt that we jumped the gun by as much as a month. Fall fishing is different and harder than winter, cause the fish can be in 2ft of water or 30ft deep from one day to the next. I was just wondering what the rush again was for.

OK -- I am in for the DArbonne trip--just made my reservations--look forward to meeting everyone.
this is only my second trip to darbonne for the gathering. since it was about this time last year, i just kinda figured it was this time every year. i was not trying to jump the gun. i think if the lake would have been at full pool last year, we would have hammered the fish. anyway----

Got it. I'll check with the coast committee to see if any interest in doing this.
It don't matter to me what month it is held, we are planning to be there.. But If memory serves me correctly, wasn't Darbonne messed up in December and January this past winter? I only fished Darbonne 1 time, so I don't know if its normally messed up at that time of year, but it seems like the timing worked last year.
You can't fish with a hung line!
Cabin #11 for Melissa and me, booked and paid for! We'll be bringing two other Texans with us, Linda and Roger Christianson, not yet CdotC members but they will be soon, I'll wager. Roger works at Atwood's and Linda works with me at Sears. I know ya'll will make them feel welcome when we get there! Going to try and scratch up us some Armadillo Eggs if anyone is interested!!!!!!:D
