Went out and did my usual one pass thing. Zig zagged and stretched the pass to an hour and a half. Had the wind at my back and my speed was a hair up at 1.1-1.3 mph. Water temp was down from 82-84 to 79. Cool for this time of year but down cause of all the rains. Water level was higher too. Cool!

I wanted to make one more post just to close out my picture story about my trip to Lake Washington this last Spring. You may have read some of my “Best Trip Ever” stories earlier. If not you can find them here: https://www.crappie.com/crappie/list...Slab-s-Stories
Lake Washington is a hidden gem, as is Bait n' Thangs. Go there of course to catch yourself some big crappie, but also see some spectacular views.
So, as the story continues I'm attending a writers camp, fishing on one of the best crappie fishing lakes in Mississippi with some of the best fishermen anywhere. It's not like they're jumping in the boat but we're still catching some good fish.
Brad Chappell with a nice one. We spider rigged using live sonar (Livescope). We pretty much fished as described in "Part one

Yep, it's been windy, lots of temp swings, have not been able to fish where I've been wanting to, but still, I've seen fish over the last two weeks or so and have not been able to catch'em. Things changed today.
I knew when this little guy hit a jig almost as big as his mouth it was gonna be a good day.
In the afternoon I fished with Greg Robinson of Greg's Guide Service on Beaver Lake in Arkansas (479-601-1683 [email protected]). With Greg we did exactly the same thing, chasing fish with live scope while spider rigging. But with Greg I learned some additional

Even when considering the ongoing virus concerns, and perhaps in spite of those issues, this was the most awesome trip ever. It felt like the pandemic was over. Some had their shots, some had immunity from having caught it. Everything was seemingly getting back to normal again. Fishermen were gathering, eating together, telling stories. Although we did some social distancing when inside, outside, in the sunshine together, things

In-laws arrived and the fish started biting. How awesome is that. Prolly caught over a dozen on a very short morning. Longlining at a slightly faster than normal speed for me, 1.2. -1.3 mph
I would like to Thank Slab and all the mods for running a great board without the foul language. It sure feels good to sat down and to read reports without have to skip some because of the language. Thank guys.
