This is a consolidation of a thread no longer found on the Internet. I'm glad I kept the files. This is a quote off that original page which was published shortly (a day or two) after that horrific date in 2001. I thought it would be appropriate to re-publish it today. Always remember....

I had the neighbor out this morning for a few hours. The wind was tough but we managed to catch around 30. The fellow that I took is new to this type of crappie fishing and he had a great time catching 2 over 2lbs. He said he has never caught

Thanks so much Crappie.com and Slab for the poetry contest, and to Driftmaster made by Black River Tools for supplying the winners prize, a T-5100 trolling bar. I have used Driftmaster products since 2009 and have found them durable, and easy to use. Since 2009, I have used the LI'L PRO series holders for spider rigging and dragging crank baits with never a lost pole, even with some epic hangups that caused nightmares for weeks.

The Crappie Fishing world according to CrappiePappy - Part 2
Here is some excellent advise/replies Crappie Pappy posted on the OLD OLD OLD Crappie.com Message Board some time prior to 2004. Could even be from around the year 2000. I found it archived here on my computer and thought I'd re-publish it here.

- I guess that my answer would be - i look at them but don't really pay much attention to them. They are one aspect of the overall picture....one piece of the puzzle. I woke up this morning in Northern Illinois. Walked out to the car, had to walk around front of it to get into it. Couldn't do it!
I slid down the driveway on my feet. It was unreal how slippery the driveway was after the ice storm. Actually it was still raining ice! Not snow, raining ice! Water that would turn to ice as soon as it contacted anything.

As I've gotten older, this time of year has become more difficult for me, so I'm cheering myself up with some happy pics, fishing, scenery and c.c memories and want to share them again:
Very cold day today at Talquin. I started out at 7:30 this morning by myself in 36 degree temps and 5mph winds. By 10am the winds were 10mph and the temp did not move up but 3 degrees. I caught 16 and was very cold by 10:30 so I went in. Eileen

This is my last boat. This boat is being built like I want because I am doing the functional assembly of the peripherals such as seats, trolling motor, and pole holders.
Brenda and I purchased a War Eagle in 2008. This supposedly would be the last boat. As we aged over the past years, our mobility declined. Our safety became an issue, so I began
