Gary F. and I had a great early morning fishing trip today, 5:45-8:30 and landed 20 keeper sized crappie and had several pull off after hookup. Sometimes they just don’t stay plugged. Gary also landed a 10” yellow bass and we both had several

I love fishing the New Moon phase for crappie. Especially in the summer time and all throughout the year. Grin. We have been on a tear since the first part of July. Because of the especially hot weather that we have had in the Tennessee valley

We laid off crappie fishing for the past week or so because of a poor solunar table graph and also Labor Day weekend. So we got our crappie fix off to a fast and hot start this morning. Slab sauce helped us to a limit by 6:37 which is about

We didn’t know that it was going to be so foggy when we decided to go fishing this morning, but Phillip and I had already decided last night to try crappie fishing early before it got hot.
Gary Fomby aka Biofisher and I had a great early morning of crappie fishing. We had a 15 fish limit by 8:15 and added 2 others before it got too hot to fish. Bonus fish were Spotted bass, Rock bass, and a lone bluegill.
Phil Gawthrop and I hit the water several minutes before daylight and the crappie were on fire. By the time that it got light enough to see, we had 11 keepers in the boat. That was with 30 minutes of fishing. Love that Slab sauce and Lights

Gary, aka Biofisher, and I had another stellar morning throwing BG crappie jigs in deep water just at the drop offs into really deep water. This is quickly becoming my favorite technique for summer time crappie success.
All the stars must have been in proper alignment when Biofisher and I went fishing this morning. We had a great time catching crappie and yellow bass with 19 keeper crappie and 13 yellow bass ending up in the livewell.
The weather has stabilized after the cold front and storms moved through on Sunday night so Biofisher and I had a pretty fair morning with the specks. We landed 10 nice keepers up to 13” and 10 shorts that were 1/4” short.
Dr Phillip G and I hit the water at 7 am and fished until 10. It was a very early bite and solunar table movement here on Chickamauga. We did have a beautiful sunrise but we had already put most of our 10 keepers in the boat by the time that

Phil and I had a great start to our fishing day as we had a 15 fish limit in less than one hour, then the fish became extremely shy and we fished 4 more hours for 10 more keepers leaving us 5 short of a double limit.
It was Dr Phil’s turn in the boat this morning and we had hopes of a double limit of crappie before all the trollers cleaned them out. Big grin. It took us 2 hours and 20 minutes to get the first limit and 2 hours and 30 minutes to get the

Jay W and I got out this morning and fished from 12 until 2:15 pm. It was 36 degrees when we launched the boat and a 9 mph NNE wind and the initial run of 10 minutes was cold. Brrrr. But the wind laid down as expected in less than 30 minutes

Dr Phil called me in the mid afternoon and said that our friends from Oliver Springs was down here on Chickamauga doing a little crappie fishing and wanted to know if I was up to going fishing. Of course. Grin
