I have been hooked on C.c since a neighbor told me about it several years ago. It is an awesome sight and I was lucky enough to be invited to help moderate it. For a retired guy looking for things to do , it was exactly what I was looking for.

If you are anything like me (most fisherman are) you don’t own one of something, you own ten! I hate being on the water, the fish are ripping a particular lure like there is no tomorrow, and you only have one of them on board. When it comes

I took Snow White (a.k.a. -Net Girl) to the lake this past weekend to have a little fun. She netted a lot of fish and decided to bring the 7 dwarfs home with us. They did not live happily ever after, but they sure made for some

I'm going to start this story a little backwards. Like the title suggests, I shoulda stayed in Alabama. I was at Alabama Crappie.com camp at Weiss Lake this last weekend, and shoulda just stayed there. When I left I went to Billbob's in Indiana, and lookie what I woke up to:
This is the light fluffy stuff. It's not that big a deal. It's more pretty than anything.
As most of you know in the crappie community you meet new people. I did just that a couple of years ago when through another friend I met Miss Sandra. She and her husband have big cabin cruiser docked along some other friends on Watts Bar.

What should I do when my boat starts leaking along the keel? Well, the first thing I should ask is what caused it to start leaking and how can I prevent it in the future. My boat started leaking from a damaged keel. I paid little attention to dragging it on and off the concrete ramps or the rip-rap after someone gets in or out. I realized one day it would catch up with me and boy, did it? It got to the point where my automatic bilge pump would stay on.

The following excerpts were taken from an online interview with Tommy Skarlis by the members of Crappie.com on 3/28/2018.
Tommy, how did you go from 14th to 6th place at Grenada this last weekend
We heard it was tough fishing. And heck, we seen that from how many didn't even get to weigh in 7 fish each day.
We stuck to our program, partner Mike Baker and I also tried to stay out of the wind. We had 10 bites and put just seven fish in the boat the last day! We tight-lined double jig rigs - DIY From Do-It molds and also Pro-Built T-Rex jigs tipped with Muddy Water Baits. Big key was our good luck hats from Honey Hole Tackle!!!
I think there is no need to speak of how the J.O.B. gets in the way of prime fishing time during the week. Every now and then the planets align, and something beyond our control, helps get a workin man a few minutes time for the unexpected.

The OR34 was the original concept. It was a great platform but required some improvements in order to refine it and make it the product that it is today.
The OR38 “Awesome Crappie Mini Board” took the place of the

I've been trying to catch these Lake Guntersville crappie every spare chance I get. I have sworn off bridges, I just can't handle the noise. I'm not set up to spider rig yet so I've been trying to find fish and catch them one pole at a time.
