    Default Surround sound project…..

Sooo. I’ve always liked my music and have dabbled in surround sounds systems. Every time I’ve built a lake house. I’ve incorporated a surround sound if it was just a sound bar with a sub. I’ve built systems with Yamaha receivers and amps, Polk audio speakers with subs with much dissatisfaction. I finally turned to cheap lg sound bars with subs. Which are incredible for cost over the Bose systems and Polk audio systems I’ve built. When you compare cost to sound .BUT now I’ve stumbled on to Sonos sound systems. WOW. What an upgrade from what I’ve had in the past. I started out with an arc sound bar. Was very impressed other than I’m a bass fan, so I added their sub . Picked up the experience extremely. Then I added two Sonos five to add true surround sound, what an experience. Finalizing the system I added a second sub, needless to say every addition was an improvement. As an older fellow I have more recliner time in the tax season of the year as my wife is an accountant. So I might as well enjoy it. The beauty of this system is it is wireless. Working off your home internet system you just have to have a electrical receptacle. I’ve watched top gun maverick 20 times since installing system. It’s not the cheapest. But it’s been the best bang for my Buck so for.

A good surround system really immerses you in the experience. My buddy had an extremely nice system at one time and we always watched movies there. Sadly his house was robbed and it was stolen. The original top gun was one of the movies we watched multiple times.

I wired a very large house years ago. It had a theater that was bigger than a lot of houses. Very large arched room. Had lift out tiles as the floor with a space underneath for the subs. When the install techs demonstrated the system they put on Jurassic Park. The glasses of water in the room shook when the dinosaurs stepped. Next they played days of Thunder. You could close your eyes and imagine the cars going around you. Definitely some high tech stuff for the Mid 90's.

The total package was one Sonos arc soundbar. Two Sonos five surround speakers and two of the larger subs . Like I said no wires to hide or run.
