    Default Cedar Creek Today

Fished Cedar creek today and had a pretty decent day. Water temp was 50.4 when I left around 5pm. Caught 41 crappie total, only kept 30, which was the limit for just me, pretty pitiful a pretty day like today and couldn't find any friends who get get away from the wife long enough for a day of fishing. They averaged 7-8 inches, had 10 fish between 9 and 10 inches. There was absolutely no pattern to them. They were scattered everywhere. I caught them on the banks in 3 foot of water around stick ups and also caught them 8 foot deep in 16 foot of water. I was using the old fashioned cork and minnow. I also had one of those big bass up too the boat off a minnow, at first I thought i was hung up, but the old Mr. Crappie 6 lb test couldn't hold up to mister bass, he broke my line, fun anyway. Well I figured you guys may like an update on Cedar Creek. Heading to the Dead Sea (Herrington Lake) tomorrow, hope to have some luck but I doubt, I never do good there. Keep the reports coming guys, every little bit helps. Stay safe and Have fun

Thanks for the report. I am thinking about going to Herrington myself on Sat or Sun; please post your report on where you put in at and other info. Thank for the cedar report. I might go there but I bet that there will be a thousand boats out there Sat, so Herrington is looking better. I usually put in at Bryant's, but I usually make my way to Gwinn Island and fish behind the island in the first creek along the stick up with minnows and corks fished about 3-8 feet deep.
