yeah the redears are biting pretty good, have been for a couple weeks. What bait was you using for the catfish. I normally used shad about two inches long cut in half but with the high water i havent been able to catch any bait. I was just talking to my fishing buddy about fishing the canal for cats next week.

Just got back from a 4 day trip to Jonathan Creek area. Did really good on the big bluegills with some redears in the mix. There were a few guys coming in that had limited out on the redears.

cats where bitting on worms under a flot about 4ft down on the rock they where all full of eggs and fun to catch they where only three to four feet of the banks tops right around the bridge seemed to be hot but we drifted the whole bank and caught them
