Fished Herrington for thirty years with my dad, mostly out of Pandora and Camp Kennedy. Also fished Taylorsville and Dale Hollow.
Although I live in Georgia now, Kentucky will always be home.
Wife and I have been fishing on: KY. Lake-Blood River area for crappie,bass; Taylorsville Lake-Crappie; Cedar Creek Lake-Crappie & Bluegill; Green River Lake-Crappie; Herrington Lake-Bluegill, Bass; Elmer Davis Lake-Bluegill & Shellcracker. This was all in the past two years. We have not settled on any one lake as a favorite, except now that the size limit has been removed at Cedar Creek Lake we will be spending some time there this year, doing our duty to improve the crappie situation there.

fish the ohio river here at home when you can get on it.Nice crappie in the right spots.
I like the smaller lakes around this area:
Beaver Lake in Anderson Co. for bluegills, shellcrackers, and bass;
Willisburg Lake for Bass (have caught a few nice crappies in there too!);
Cedar Creek for Bass and someday Crappie:D.
My Dad lives on Kentucky Lake, Jonathon Creek and I consider that area as close to Heaven on Earth as it gets.
Always wanted to try Reelfoot but haven't yet.
Rough River - Crappie, Bass, Hybrid
Nolin - Crappie, Bass
Kentucky/Barkley - Crappie, Bass

My first post on this site. I'm down around Corbin Ky, and fish laurel lake mostly. I go to Norris down in Tn a few times a year for a crappie treat!
