She was playing with her pole and was asking me what does it feel like when you get one on and how can you tell... when she lucked out and yelled "Dad I got one!!!! Hooked him in the eye and grossed her out. It was funny!

I could read 50 of these posts everyday. I have a 3 and 2 year old boys that kicks and screams to go fishing. But I only have a 10' bass buggy and they are 2 little to sit still and not cause deleria on the boat.
But they are the first ones in my Driveway when I get home to see Daddy's "Feesh"...

Thanks for sharing.. My 5 year old, last year caught a 3lb catfish on his 3 foot pole.. How proud I was and a moment I wont forget. I can look through a stack of pics and still tell you my kids first fish..

Last year my oldest daughter was six and i took her fishing for the first time. Since we were pond fishing i took my little 12 jon boat. She was scared to death to get in it and took her five minutes to calm down. But after that she caught her first fish and was so excited. Honestly though, i think i was more excited than she was. Its great to hear these stories about kids going fishing.
