blue and char with char nibble
Just curious on what colors work on kentucky lake this time of year. Or is just minnows on a hook the best bet? Im also a user of the crappie nibbles. Do they work? Thanks guys C_C_F

FISH-ON!!!!!
at Ky Lake and Lake Barkley ... on solid Chartreuse (marabou Roadrunner 1/16oz) and solid Pink (marabou Roadrunner 1/32oz). But, those were used in Spring, on pre-spawn fish (early to late April). Minnows have caught me the biggest Crappie, from Barkley ... but, again, that was Spring spawn time in the Buck Brush (Button Bushes). Never fished either lake in the Fall.
I wouldn't rule out any color, OR minnows ... just figure out how deep they are holding, and what method is best used to present the bait to them. If they're in their Fall feeding mode ... they may not be too discriminating on color :D Nonetheless, I'd probably be throwing something with chartreuse tails (blu/char - green/char - blk/char - pink/char - purple/char - etc)
Check the recent fishing reports for general location & depth of fish being caught ... find a likely looking spot ... present your choice of baits to them ... and let them tell you if they likey or no likey :D
... luck2ya ... cp
I do well on Chartruse, Green & Chartruse, Red & Chartruse, Purple & Chartruse.
