Fast Eddies is a few miles up the road toward Draffenville.
Haven’t been in that part of the state for about 6 years. Best place to buy shiners for a couple days fishing mid March?
Thanks!!

Fast Eddie's X 2. Located in a little community called Fairdealing about 4 miles west of Aurora.
GREENFISH LIKED above post
It's a shame Ronnie closed Baits and More in Aurora last year. He knew how to sell bait. So ... Fast Eddie's is your choice if you don't want to make the trip to Murray Bait Co.. My issue with Fast Eddies is that most of the guys there count the minnows with their hands ... which just grates in my soul. Of course buying by the pound is an option, that way they won't handle them.
Thank you. I’ll be buying by the pound! Should solve the hand counting issue lol

Was gonna say try baits and more but didn’t know they closed last year. Does the gas station down from the rib place still sell bait?
Sorry to say, Murray Bait Company is closed!
Strange to me how many bait shops in the area have closed without replacement. Used to be two in Lake City with only Ken’s still there, one in Grand Rivers, Baits ‘n More in Aurora and Fisherman's HQ. I can recall those just off the top of my head.
I know online places play heck with the market, but you can’t get live bait online, and I always need something during a trip.
I’ve found an alternative to live bait that works pretty good for me. Bobby Garland itty bits in the live minnow color. I put it on a 1/32 head and tip with a crappie nibble and use as much weight as needed to get down to the fish. I put a nice batch of slabs in the box two days ago using them.
It is a shame that we are losing the hometown, locally owned businesses. Jim and Linn's used to be where Fast Eddie's is now. Really nice people, made sandwiches, had hot biscuits for breakfast. Not knocking Fast Eddies at all.
Lake Plaza at Possum Trot, can't remember how long this place has been closed.
