    Default Dale Hollow

I’m planning to take my boys (11 and 7) to dale Hollow for new years weekend. That’s if it isn’t too cold. We will be staying at the state park lodge. Anyone got any tips for fishing for crappie that time of year? I’ve only been on Dale one time smallmouth fishing. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I’d suggest hiring a guide. They are usually more in tune with the current bite.

For crappie Try Corey Thomas great hollow guide.

I agree with Pondbuster. Dale hollow could be bad bad tough that time of year. I would also suggest Corey Thomas as he is as good as it gets. This may make or break your trip but you will also learn more for future trips. I have never regretted spending money to learn from a guide trip. Check out his videos on u tube

Agree with the above. I would suggest a guide, another name to consider for Dale Hollow is Preston Cleary. He has a FB account under Cleary Kentucky Fishing.
