    Default Bait box??

Frabill vs Engel bait box. Which one do you prefer? And 13qt vs 19qt? What’s the pros and cons? I currently have the Frabill 5 gal bucket and the Frabill 2? gal bucket. The 5 gal is very top heavy, so can easily turn over and the small one is just okay. Considering changing to the box style but would appreciate some input.

I'd ask t.slabseeker what he has on his boat.

I've used the 19qt. Engel bait box for several years now & can't say a bad word about it. Will easily hold a pound of minnows as long as the aerator is running, they are good to go. I believe the inner net that comes with it helps them stay alive also. The original aerator that came with it was not much force, but I like the bait box itself really well & the 19qt works out well in my boat. Seems built to last and has taken a few tumbles without opening. Will use a 12volt Power Bubbles once I quit fishing and get it installed this winter. I bought 2 of the 30quart size inner nets and use them in my minnow tanks at home. They really help keep them alive longer.

Haven't used the Frabil before. It may be the equivalent.

I like the frabil the handle is easier than the smaller one on the Engel. I have both and I think the Frabil is better.... with a BUBS DADDY AERATOR.

I have a Frabil Magnum 19 qt model and it has served me well. It’s about 5 years old and has had no issues. Hope this helps.

I have both the 13&19qt Engel boxes. I use the 19 for up to a pound of minnows and dip what we need at the bow into the 13. I highly recommend the big Engel lithium rechargeable bubbler.
