Thread: Cave Run??????

Anyone been to cave run recently that can give us a report? I haven't been able to get out much with my momma being sick and was planning on going a day!

Grizz, I don't think we have many (any ??) regular posting members that fish Cave Run. I've only fished it twice in the last dozen years or so, and only managed one Crappie on a Fall trip (long time ago). We tried to fish Cassidy Ford Hollow, but it was too thick with moss. Most of the boats we saw were out on the Zilpo flats, likely fishing around the cover dropped by the KDFWR, but never saw anyone catch anything. There were like 7-8 boats out there, but within a couple of hours they were all gone.
I've never really Crappie fished it much in the Fall, just a few times in the Spring (decades ago), so I'm not familiar enough with fishing it in the Fall to even offer any useful info.
From what I gather from checking the charts .... lake is still around Full Pool & water temps are in the mid 70's
