All nighter @ Green

Slabeye and I did an all night fishing trip last night. This time we actually found fish and caught fish during the night.

Water temp - 79deg
Fish caught - over 50 keepers (I kept a limit, all others returned)
Depth fish caught in - 10 to 20fow
Baits used - various colors & styles of Slabanator Jigs

Now, here's the interesting part : Upon cleaning my fish I discovered that the females still had eggs that looked like "normal" spawning time egg sacs

... and as you can see from the picture below, the males were still in tuxes !!

Very few "dinks" were caught, and most fish caught & all fish kept were 10+ inch fish. And, yes ... there is a "kitty fish" hiding amongst the crowd

Pappy the Sunday that it rained off & on all day I was there & a bunch of males still had their tuxes on. I believe the warm weather awhile back then the big cold drop in temps put a bunch of fish off causing a late spawn for a big part of them.

that is interesting for sure , they look to be in the dancing mode , one thing for certain , nothing beats some cool air and a fish ketchn party ..
