Fished / scouted yesterday. Water is low and really muddy. 56-58 where I was, mainly around Dog Creek. Could not find anything shallow, did find a cpl around channel on brush. Fish had minimal color and appeared to have just come up from deeper water. All males. Saw a good number of boats out. Wondering if anyone else fishes Nolin regularly, love to get some tips
thanks

I know a lot of guys who regularly fish the “twins”, and I will be the first to admit they are a tight lipped bunch.
They are catching their fish on brush piles that they put out, Wax area. Without some good sonar you’ll never find them, best I can do on a lake I haven’t fished in a decade. Good luck and welcome.

When I first got my boat I hit Nolin several times. Caught more black crappie than whites fishing ditches in main river channel this time of year.

I fish Nolin a bunch. Right now, it seems smaller fish are on brush and trees. Big girls are hanging out suspended over deeper water. I kept some Sunday and all females were full of eggs. Nolin has gotten a lot better over the last 2 years. There are some really nice fish in there.
Sunday I caught most of the fish casting a black and chartreuse minnow style jig. Fish I caught were anywhere from 13 to 5 feet deep. I did verticle jig some brush and caught some, but the bite was tough.
Of you try to focus on Black crappie you can catch some biggins
