I just got back from ky lake all crappie I caught in the week were long lined. And that was a few. I gave up and went to bass most of trip. Bass liked z man micro Trd and a homemade plastic worm in a rust color. My biggest fish was 17” smallie on the long line. It hit the right side of boat and ram into the four lines on the left side. I had fresh six point line the vicious brand in 2000 yard spool. Line was very cheap $8 at Walmart put pulled out of many snags
my go to slime line large spool has been out of Stock for years
my go too bait is southern pro hot grubs. Cheap good colors good action
the rods this trip were ugly stick carbon crappie models 7,8,9, and 10 foot. It took work to find and got from pure fishing directly. I also have southern crappie rods. They have similar action and are cheap
