Man these reports are not sounding good. Heading down tomorrow afternoon. Have a cabin at Irvin Cobb. Kind of regretting it now.
Saturday the lake is supposed to start rising which should be good
I changed me arrival date to Saturday with fishing starting on Sunday. Not sure it will be any better but at least the winds appear to be less. I have a small boat so wind is not good. I have actually only be on the main lake once.
Went Sunday afternoon in Big Bear for 2.5 hours. 11 big ones, lost 5 keepers, 26 shorts. All in very muddy water, 10'-12' deep, brush and stakebeds.

Really not much to write home about. Been knocking on crappie's condos doors (live scope) but no one's home, tried long lining (got a few). Had a guided trip on Tuesday got some very nice quality specks. I was also honored to meet one of crappie.com elite. Decided to stay a few extra days to continue our quest, got to batted down the hatches tomorrow cause of the weather. Those that fish Kentucky Lake on a regular basis are blessed.
Till next time.
If you cast it they will come.
Does anyone have information about the “gravel pit” in Big Sandy? I’ve heard a lot about it but have been told the water has to come up more. When does this normally happen? How deep?
