Don't know why 2 of the pics turned side ways. Maybe someone can rotate and fix em?
Fished it Saturday, January 28th. Very professional and well run event. The digital weigh in scales were awesome.
It was held at Port Oliver boat ramp.
Which is good- awesome facilities & right next to Casters- where you can get a good breakfast on your way to the ramp. I recommend the breakfast platter and get the potato home fries.
There were 17 boats that competed in the tournament. We ended up getting 3rd. Seems like how it always is in a tournament, we needed 1 more Big fish…
But still an awesome time. It’s like my tournament partner said, we’re gonna be fishing for fun anyway- might as well get in the tournament and see how it goes.
The good thing about having 2 live wells, is use one for tournament fish and the other for the eaters. The water we were fishing was stained/ muddy, so black & chartreuse crappie magnets was our hot bait. Lots of bait swimming around, and when I cleaned the eaters- they were plum full of 1.5- 2” bait fish.
Looking forward to the next one.

Breakfast platter sounds great right until I get my cold weather gear on and get out on water!
