    Default Hello

Just wanted to say hi to my Kentucky Bretherin. I just signed up here this week. I live in Central Ky, fish Mcdougal and Salem lakes, both are small trolling motor only lakes. Most of the Crappie I have caught have been on accident but I love them Gills.

I also frequent Kyhunting.com if any of ya want to drop by there.

Welcome to Crappie.Com, you'll find a lot of good people here willing to share information about fishing. I have visited Kentuckyhunting.com as well, pretty good site. Read up on all the good articles and you'll be catching crappie on purpose in those lakes you fish.

Hello Nwest I like to catch gills too but rather catch crappie. This is a great site for any panfish. Welcome aboard!

Thumbs up Welcome to Crappie.com ...

"brother" Nwest ... good to have you aboard. Looks like you're about halfway between BadBrad & myself. Brad's in Bowling Green, and I'm in Lexington.

If'n you ever get a hankerin for some new water to explore ... you might want to check out Cedar Creek Lake (between Stanford & Crab Orchard on Hwy 150), if you haven't already. Bluegill & Shellcracker are it's claim to fame, as far as panfish go ... the Crappie aren't doing as well as expected, but they are there. They'll be taking the size limit off of the Crappie, in 2008.

Looks like you're in the middle of the Taylorsville/Nolin/Green River lakes triangle ... ever fish any of these, much ??

You'll find all kinds of info and discussions about "gills", on the "Bream/Brim" forum ... and don't be afraid to post, about whatever you catch, on this forum or the Main Message Board.

Well hello neighbor:D Have you ever fished Salem or Mcdougal? Wanna go back and give up your secret spots:D

Do you fish Lincamp? We float that stretch of river a couple times a year, some nice smallmouth in there. Mcdougal creek is fun in the spring, I usually walk the bank and reach over the bushes with Bream poles. Not many big ones but it is perty fun.
