I have been here since Tuesday and wanted to give a fishing report on what I have seen. First I used minnows and jigs and found they mostly wanted minnows. That said if you intend to use minnows the marina opens at 7:00, Green River Bait &Grocery opens at 6:00 but he will talk for 30 minutes before you get out. Tuesday I found fish schooled up. Classes they were taking were how to get a minnow off the hook without being caught. The underclassman was taking a course on how to flick the minnow off hook before getting to the boat Spring Fling @ Green 2023Spring Fling @ Green 2023Spring Fling @ Green 2023. Limited Tuesday but average size fish. Went to Robinson Creek yesterday, lots of shorts with 7 keepers. Back to Holmes Bend today and limited out with decent size fish. Fish much more aggressive today. I spider rigged and found fish between 3-8 feet deep in 10-12 fow. Depending on where your at the water temperature 62-65. Talk to a few people that were fishing the banks with little success. Depending on weather they may be shallow by Saturday. All fish I caught were white crsppie. I was told last week they were catching black crappie in 3 fow. Looking forward to putting some faces to names and have good fellowship. See you Saturday.

I forgot. Water is clearing up pretty good. Light stain with visible about 2 foot. Water as of today is about 3 ft below summer pool.

Default Spring Fling @ Green 2023

Something came up at work tomorrow, so I’ll drive over early Saturday. Blue and white Ranger Fisherman, enjoying a cigar and some tunes while trolling. Stop by and say hey. I look forward to catching up with old fishing buddies and meeting some new ones.

Fished 4 hours yesterday around Lone Valley and caught 19 keepers before dark. Pulled jigs for the most part. Water temp was 66 and the color looks really good. Fish are gorging on shad and the females are about to pop with eggs.
