    Does anyone know if they have started pulling the lake down for winter pool yet.

    Funny you should ask ... my buddy commented that the lake "looked down" when we were there Saturday. But, no ... it's actually less than 1ft below Summer Pool (& still 5ft to go to reach Winter Pool).

    The water temps were 66-67deg (Caney Creek / Dam area)

    Nah ... a few small Bass on jigs was all we could muster.

    Chuck I have had some luck on CR. But it is a hit or miss. It’s only a bout 45 min drive for me. I guess to answer your question I catch enough to me going back. The biggest problem for r is the general size of the crappie not the numbers.

    For a quick report. 62 degrees. Marked fish in 24 fow. 15-20 ft dep? Slow bite 24 mostly small. Guys fishing minnows say they had no luck even with live scope. Said they looked at the minnow and swimmed of.
